The idea worth testing
Before Lumos, Aarush had not used AI much for coding. He was still learning how system design, product development, and startup execution fit together. He joined with a straightforward goal: build something genuinely useful for a specific group of people and leave with a product he could keep developing.
Competitive programming gave him that audience. Learners often face a frustrating choice when they get stuck: search for a solution and spoil the problem, or keep grinding without useful direction. AlgoPath offers a third path through progressive hints and feedback that preserve the work of solving.

Building with AI, without handing over the product
AI tools accelerated implementation and debugging, but Aarush still directed the prompts, product design, testing, and higher-level decisions. Mentors answered questions throughout the build, evaluated exercises, and helped keep the project moving in the right direction.
The pivotal moment was less technical. When Aarush was unsure whether the concept would work, he chose to test it instead of abandoning it. Four weeks after starting, AlgoPath was a working product with 100 users, feedback from more than 10 experienced programmers, and a library of over 1,500 coding problems.
What changed after Lumos
Aarush can now use AI more deliberately to build websites and apps, evaluate ideas before investing deeply in them, structure stronger prompts, and guide a product from concept through testing and launch.
Most importantly, he has evidence that an uncertain idea can become something real when it is tested with the right tools, guidance, and persistence.
